Bushfires News Stories

bushfire survivors

Black saturday had taken a lot of lives. But threw the ashes came survivors from all over victoria. In a tragic disaster there are always stroeis of survival. As the fires burn down, survivors are left with the horrible memories of the victorian bushfires. A country has united to bring fourth a huge amount of money together to help all the survivors of the bushfires.

Survivors of the busfires, ask for any sort of carivans to temporary stay in while their houses get repaired, or more worse houses get rebuilt.

As the suriviors keep strong, the largest reconstruction project will begin to take place were people have lost their homes and their loved ones.

Bulldozers will be forced to remove around 100,000 tonnes of rubble caused by the destruction of more than 2000 homes as well as numerous shops, businesses and communtiy buildings in 78 townships across the state. A futher 2200 home that also had fire damage will need repairs.

A tale of survival [ ROSS BUCHMAN ]

Ross Buchman was fighting the reality of what he had lost in the tragic bushfires of Victoria. He had survived the fires but lost all that mattered, his son McKenzie aged 15 and his daughtere Neeve 9.

As he tells his story to reporters looking at the ground, to brave to cry but to much a father not to. "No," he said, shaking his head. "My wife said try and stay away from this. I don't want to upset her."
